As UU’s, we pride ourselves on openness, inclusivity and diversity of thought and belief. But what if the person sitting next to you in church is a Republican? As religious liberals, the majority of UU’s are politically liberal, as well. But those two viewpoints don’t necessarily go hand in hand. Since we pride ourselves on championing the minority view, how can we be more welcoming of those who come to our church with a “differing” opinion about politics?
