Did you know that you can easily make your recurring pledge to the UU of SCV via online banking? It's simple to do, and can spare you the trouble of tracking your payments, writing checks and balancing your account manually.

Most banks offer the ability to set up a recurring payment for which a check can be mailed to any recipient's address. Usually this service is free, as it reduces the bank's administrative costs.

For example, if you bank with Wells Fargo you simply need to log into your bank account, choose "Bill Pay", then "Add A Payee". From there you can fill out the online form with the address of the church. Then continue to enter the amount of your recurring pledge and the schedule you desire.

Pledges should addressed to the Unitarian Universalists of Santa Clarita Valley, PO Box 800028, Santa Clarita, CA 91380.

Most banks have a similar online process. It's a safe, secure process that all major banks have been performing for years. Once you've set up your recurring pledge this way, you need not worry about your pledge any more - it will automatically be sent from your account.

If you shop at Ralphs grocery store and use a Ralphs REWARDS card, you can easily earn money for the church! Every time you make a purchase and the checker swipes your Ralphs card, UUofSCV will benefit -- but only if you sign up online!

 That “passive income” can really add up, so please take a few minutes to register. Here’s how:

• Go to www.ralphs.com, (have your REWARDS card handy), and click on “Sign in/Register.”
• Sign up as a new Ralphs online customer (unless you’re already registered).
• When you get to the page that says “Community Contribution Program” on the left hand side, click on that and type in our church ID# 91542 on the next screen. The system will walk you through the rest.

That’s it! Taking this simple step will help us meet our fundraising goals, and you don’t have to change your shopping habits at all!

Simply follow these steps to sign up online:

1. Go to the eScrip Website – www.eScrip.com
2. Click on “Sign up – It’s Free”.
3. Fill in our Group ID: 500003161 or Group name: Unitarian Universalists of SCV (please be precise or the system won’t work) and click the “Search” button .
4. When our name comes up on the next screen, click on the name to bring up the next screen.
5. The next screen says, “You have Selected to Support” and lists our group. Click the “Next” button to proceed
6. Complete the registration form. Where it asks for children and their ages, you needn’t fill this in. Click “Next”.
7. On the next three screens, you’ll fill in numbers for grocery cards and credit cards you want to associate with the eScrip program.
8. At the end of the process, you’ll have a chance to confirm your information and create a personal password so you can manage your account online.
9. The entire procedure takes only a few minutes. Within a week, your purchases will be benefiting the church.
