inspiration

I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. What I can do, I should do.

reaching out

Unitarian Universalists hold common values and principles. We affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person. We support justice, equity and compassion in human relations. We respect the interdependent web of all existence. We believe in peace, liberty and justice for all, worldwide.

In support of these values, the Santa Clarita congregation engages in a number of outreach and social justice activities, such as:

  • Supporting local food pantries by collecting food donations at every Sunday service.
  • Participating in annual community activities, such as Santa Clarita Pride Week, River Rally and "Make a Difference Day."
  • Preparing dinners for the SCV homeless shelter.
  • Sharing our plate collection with local charities.
  • Adopting needy families at Christmas.
  • Fielding a team each year in the Los Angeles AIDS Walk.
  • Taking a stand against hunger by participating in the Interfaith Council's annual Crop Walk.
