It is a critical time to defend our First Amendment rights and religious freedoms by halting the momentum of those who seek to criminalize our activism. Since November 2016, 16 states have passed legislation that turn peaceful protests and nonviolent direct actions into criminal offenses, with similar bills pending in many other states.
