The Third Sunday recipient for the month of January is KQRU radio 107.9 FM, a low-power station that serves the Santa Clarita Valley. It offers indie rock during the day, and jazz at night. The station runs Bird Notes from Cornell University’s ornithology lab, and Yale University’s Climate Connections, and is looking for volunteers to provide programming on local issues.
