The Passage of the Butterfly … and Other Stories of Transformation

We will explore transformation in multiple cultures, symbolized by various creatures.

Emily Larbaoui, a member of this congregation, is a writer and new-to-the-field educator. She has a background in fitness and is a former personal trainer. She received a scholarship for creative writing and tennis. In writing, she garnered an award from The PA Council of the Arts for a short story titled My Former Life as A Black Man and has been published in 8 independent books of poetry, as well as having edited Convergence, the most recent collection of UU of SCV poetry. She created, produced, and starred in The Levity of Lithium, a 1-woman show, performing it in Harrisburg and at The Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Next year, she will be serving Charles Helmers Elementary School as a substitute teacher for Phys Ed. Emily is the wife of Monsieur Kamal Larbaoui and mama to Natalie (8) and Jackson, an elderly Pitador.
