History would have us think that our nation’s story began in 1492 when North America was “discovered” by Christopher Columbus, but what if our story didn’t truly begin until 2020? What if the real story of this nation were to begin once this biological and racial pandemic neared its end? Join Mathew as they ponder if we live in a time in which our country was proving its greatness through deep care and relationship.

Mathew P. Taylor is a queer, gender dynamic (pronouns They/He), pro-black, Unitarian Universalist Pagan Seminarian. Mathew is an Intern Minister at the UU Congregation of Rockville in Maryland and is currently the lead lay Pastor of Covenant UU an emerging spiritual community based in the Inland Empire. Mathew writes and preaches about the great what-ifs and the paths to liberation for all people.
