Sing with us

Music and the arts are very important to the UU of SCV Congregation. Our Music Director, Scott Roewe, along with pianist Monica Bowser and the choir provide instrumental and choral music which enhances our Sunday morning services. We also have occasional guest performers such as jazz musicians, African drummers, and singer-songwriters. Scott serves as the Director of Publication for the Unitarian Universalist Musician’s Network, and is instrumental in bringing both traditional favorites and fresh new music into our congregation. People often comment that our joyous Sunday music helps them start their week!

Choir

Lift your voice and sing with us at Sunday service! We have a choir that rehearses before service every Sunday. We welcome anyone to join, and all abilities are welcome. Simply show up for practice at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday. You can also receive the music before Sunday morning. Just ask our Music Director, Scott Roewe, to add you to the choir mailing list.

Music Director Scott Roewe

Scott Roewe began playing music around the time he could sit up straight, playing the bongos to accompany his mother on the piano.  He went on to write music for the hit television show Rescue 911, and helped with the production of music for the top ranked television show C.S.I.  Scott was a recording artist signed to Geffen Records with the band Wild Colonials.  His mother also took him to Sunday school at the UU church in Wilmington, Delaware, and now works as our music director.
